Process
Confessions is a 2008 novel by Kanae Minato told through multiple first person confessions that uncover the dark truth behind a middle school tragedy. After teacher Yuko Moriguchi discovers that two of her students are responsible for her daughter’s death, she seeks revenge by claiming she has mixed HIV infected blood into their milk. Through the intertwined voices of teachers, students, and parents, the novel explores guilt, revenge, and the fragile boundary between justice and morality in modern society.
