Europa Clipper is a robotic, solar-powered spacecraft and NASA’s largest planetary mission spacecraft, specifically engineered to survive Jupiter’s intense radiation environment. Its primary goal is to determine whether areas beneath the surface of Jupiter’s icy moon Europa could support life by measuring the thickness of Europa’s icy shell and how its ocean interacts with the surface, investigating its composition, and characterizing its geology.
